solotone listens to the sound on your Mac to draw it. That sound never leaves your Mac: it is not recorded, stored or sent anywhere. Everything below is about the little that does leave.
Anonymous usage statistics (the app)
The app sends anonymous usage signals through TelemetryDeck — for example that the app started, which skin is showing, and the app and macOS versions. They help decide which skins to make next.
- No name, email, IP address or anything else that identifies you is sent. The device identifier is hashed before it leaves your Mac.
- You can turn it off at any time in the app's settings. When it is off, nothing is sent.
Buying a skin
Payment is handled by Stripe; your card details go to Stripe and never reach us. When a payment completes we keep the license key, which skins it unlocks, the Stripe payment reference and the email address you gave Stripe, so a key can be recovered or refunded.
When the app activates a key it sends the key, a random device identifier and the app version. We count how many devices use a key; there is no limit.
This website
No analytics, no advertising and no cookies. Your language choice is remembered in your browser's local storage and is never sent to us. The site and API are hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps standard request logs.
